Biography :
Joined the Regiment around 1899. Service included India. Later served with the 2nd Bn in World War One in France. Posted to 'D' Company 3.7.1915. Employed on cemeteries 12.9.1915. He later served with the Labour Corps as Private 602946. Some of information from private source. The 1914-1915 Star and British War Medal awarded to Private Haines are in the collection of Leicester City Museums Service.
