Biography :
James Frazier was serving in 2nd Bn in India at the outbreak of war, and arrived in France with the Bn on 12.10.1914. Awarded the Distinguished Conduct Medal as a Private in Mesopotamia (L.G. 15.4.1916 "For conspicious gallantry in continually carrying messages under heavy fire."). His medals, identity discs and other military documents are in the of Leicester City Museums Service.
