Biography :

Enlisted at Leicester. Served with 2nd Bn in World War One. Joined the battalion in the field from the 13th reinforcements 27.4.1915. Wounded 1.5.1915. Rejoined Battalion on 10.7.1915. Deprived of Lance Stripe for misconduct 17.7.1915. Killed in France and Flanders campaign 25.9.1915, aged 21. He is commemorated on Loos Memorial, Pas de Calais, France.
