Home address given as Quorn, Leicestershire. Enlisted at Leicester. Served with 2nd Bn in World War One. Joined the battalion in the field from 14th reinforcements 18.5.1915. Sick to hospital 8.6.1915, rejoined Battalion 25.6.1915. Drowned in Tigris, Mesopotamia 18.5.1916, aged 20. He is commemorated on Basra Memorial, Iraq.
