Biography :
Served in Boer War. Later served in World War One as 122602 Corporal Doane, Royal Engineers. Also received the Defence Medal for services in World War Two. He died 16.9.1961, in Newport, Isle of Wight. His Queen's South Africa medal, King's South medal, three World War One campaign medals and World War Two Defence medal are held by this museum.
