Biography :
Enlisted at Loughborough, Leicestershire. Served with the 2nd Bn during World War One. He served for 12 years with the Royal Berkshire Regiment. He also served in the South African Campaign. Killed in action France and Flanders campaign 15.5.1915, 44. He is commemorated on Le Touret Memorial, Pas de Calais, France.
