Biography :

Enlisted at Mountsorrel, Leicestershire. Served with F Company, 1/5th Bn in World War One. Wounded by gunshot in the chest in Sept 1915, he recovered and returned to duty in December the same year. Died of wounds in France and Flanders campaign 20.4.1916, aged 27. He is buried at St. Sever Cemetery, Rouen, France.
