Biography :

Was serving with the 2nd Bn in India in 1911 with number 8519. Served in World War One. Re-enlisted in France on 10.3.1919 with number 4850316 and was discharged on 8.3.1930. His service in the 1920s appears to have included Aldershot as at 1924. He was awarded the Long Service and Good Conduct Medal. His Long Service and Good Conduct medal and First World War campaign medals are held by Leicester museum.
