Biography :
Educated at Malvern College and RMA Sandhurst, Mike Brewer was commissioned into The Royal Leicestershire Regiment on 16.12.1949 and was posted to 1st Bn in Hong Kong. Promoted Lt on 21.11.1951. Awarded the M.C. for his action as a Platoon Commander in Korea on 25/26 May 1952 (L.G. 4.7.1952). Served at Airborne Depot, Aldershot 1952-54, and as a Temp Captain in 12th Bn Parachute Regt (TA) 1955-57, including as Adjutant 1956-57. Joined Regular Army Reserve of Officers on 21.1.1957, and resigned his commission on 1.7.1959. He died in 1986, aged 57 years. He is buried in Tandridge, Surrey.
