Home town Hinckley. Walter Booth enlisted 20.6.1940. Served in 2/5th Bn The Leicestershire Regiment during World War Two. He was awarded the Military Medal for his actions in the capture of Mondaino, Italy, 1944 (L.G. 8.2.1945). Released Class 'A' 14.1.1946 and Class 'Z' (T) Army Reserve 17.4.1946.
