Enlisted at Loughborough. Served with 1/5th Bn in World War One. Killed in action France and Flanders campaign 13.10.1915. He is commemorated on Loos Memorial, Pas-de-Calais, France.

Medals: 1914-15 Star, War Medal. His medals are on display at the Loughborough Carillon Tower & War Memorial Museum.
