Enlisted at Leicester, 22.6.1908 into the Special Reserve, Leicestershire Regiment.. Was serving in India as at 1911. Served with the 2nd Bn during World War One. Killed in action France and Flanders campaign 25.9.1915, aged 25. He is commemorated on Loos Memorial, Pas de Calais, France.
