Biography :
Enlisted at Leicester on 1.6.1910 for a period of four years, and again on 1.6.1914 for a further two years. Served with the 1/4th Bn during World War One. Received a gunshot wound to his back on 17.4.1915 and died of wounds in France and Flanders campaign 1.5.1915, aged 24. He is buried at Le Treport Military Cemetery, France.
