Served with the Regiment in World War One (in 110th Brigade). Discharged 4.2.1919. His 1914-1915 Star, War medal and Victory Medal and documents are held by this museum.

Medal card: Victory, British War and 1915 Star. Disembarked at France 29.7.1915 - discharged class 2, 4.2.1919.

Biography: A very accomplished Musician. Played in Worksop Town Band, Lambs Dance Band, and Steetley colliery Brass Band. He had one daughter, Dorothy, who Married Sgt Arthur Howard, R.E.M.E.
