Served as Private 4621 with the 1st Bn during the Boer War. Later served with the 'C' Company 3rd Bn during World War One. Died in the United Kingdom 7.11.1915, aged 39. He is buried at Hull Western Cemetery, Yorkshire, Grave 537.51858.

Son of Mrs. Hannah and the late Thomas Adcock, 40 Chapel Street, Barwell.
His name was originally missed off Hinckley War Memorial but was added in October 2005.
