Biography :
Enlisted in the Leicester Military District into the Leicestershire Regiment, 1895. Served with the 1st Bn during the Boer War. Received the Queen's South Africa Medal with clasps for Talana, Defence of Ladysmith, Laings Nek and Belfast. Also the King's South Africa Medal with two clasps. This object (K.S.A) is in the collection of Leicester City Museums Service. A T. Adcock was serving still serving with the Regiment at Talavera Barracks, Aldershot, in 1910 , and is possibly the same person.
