Biography :
Arthur Lawrence enlisted in The Leicestershire Regiment in 1901 and served in the Boer War. He was a Sergeant in 1908 and reached the rank of CSM in the First World War. He was awarded the Chevalier of the Order of Leopold and the Long Service & Good Conduct medal. His medals are in the collection of Leicester Arts and Museums Service.
