Major (QM) 10.7.1984. Awarded M.B.E. for his work as QM, 2nd R Anglian, UK/Berlin/ Cyprus, 1982-84 (L.G. 15.6.1985). Awarded MID for Northern Ireland (L.G. 14.4.1987). QM 7th R Anglian (V) 1986-88. Promoted Lt Col on 9.12.1988. Retired 25.1.1993.
