Biography :
David Harris was commissioned into The Royal Lincolnshire Regiment (TA) on 12.3.1967. Awarded the T.D. on 11.10.1977. Awarded M.B.E. for work as SO2 G3 (TA), HQ 49th Infantry Brigade, Chilwell, Notts, in 1982 (L.G. 30.12.1983) and O.B.E. for his work as CO 7th R Anglian (V), Leicester, 1984-87 (L.G. 31.12.1987). Colonel (TA) 1.8.1987-1.4.1993. Honorary ADC to HM The Queen 1.4.1988-1.4.1993.
Deputy Honorary Colonel R Anglian (Lincolnshire) TA, 31.3.1992-31.3.1997. Deputy Colonel The Royal Anglian Regiment, 5.10.1992-5.10.1997. Deputy Lieutenant for Lincolnshire.
