Biography :
Educated at Mons OCS and commissioned into The Royal Northumberland Fusiliers on 9.10.1965, David Daniels served in its successor 1st Bn The Royal Regiment of Fusiliers (1 RRF). Served on 8 tours in Northern Ireland, mainly in 1 RRF. Served as Recce Platoon Commander in 4th R Anglian in Bahrain 1969-70. Later seconded to Sultan of Oman’s Armed Forces. Awarded the Sultan of Oman’s DSM (Gallantry) in 1974 for his work as a Company Commander in The Jebel Regiment, Oman, 1973. Retired 31.3.1978.
