Biography :
Tony Russell served in the ranks of The Royal Leicestershire Regiment 1938-1950. Transferred to The Royal Lincolnshire Regiment, serving in its 1st Bn and its successors 1st Bn 2nd East Anglian Regiment and 2nd R Anglian. Awarded the M.B.E, for his work as QM, 3rd Division HQ & Signal Regiment, Bulford, Hampshire 1963-66 (L.G.i.1.1967). Retired as a Major on 31.7.1974.
