Biography :
Commissioned into The Essex Regiment in 1950. Awarded the M.C. for his actions as as a Platoon Commander, 1st Bn The Malay Regiment, Malaya, on 8 Apr 1951, in which action he was badky wounded (L.G. 24.7.1951). Later served in 1st R Leicesters 1964-67 as a Company Commander and Families Officer in Watchet, Aden and Malta. Retired in 1968.
