Home address given as Plaistow, Essex. Enlisted at Croydon, Surrey. Served with 'A' Company the 11th Bn and the 110th Brigade (6th, 7th, 8th, 9th Battalions) during World War One. Killed in action 22.3.1918, aged 26. He is commemorated on Arras Pas-de-Calais, France.

2nd son of Joseph William Wright, (Retired Sgt Major, 2nd Bn Leicestershire Regiment) and Louisa Wright: of their four sons, three were lost in WW1.
