Biography :
Jesse Weston served in 1st Bn The Leicestershire Regiment during World War One. Awarded M.M. for his actions on 24.9.1918 when he attacked an enemy post single-handed, and succeeded in clearing the same, so securing touch on the right. In Second World War as an Inspector in the Leicester Police Force he was awarded the B.E.M. (Civil) for bravery during and following an air raid in Leicester, 19/20 November 1940 (L.G. 21.2.1941).
He died in 1984, aged 87 years.
