Home address given as Blaby, Leicestershire. Awarded the M.M. while serving in Burma ( when attached to 4th Uganda battalion of the King's African Rifles). His service before going out to the Far East included the Middle East, Syria and Tobruk. He was also mentioned in despatches for his actions with the Chindits in Burma. Released Class 'A' 2.5.1946 and Class 'Z' (T) Army Reserve 13.8.1946. He died 29.2.1996. Some of the above information is from a private source.
