Home address given as Barrow Upon Soar, Leicestershire. Enlisted at Loughborough. Served with 2nd Bn during World War One. Enlisted in Leicester. Joined Battalion from 29th reinforcements 7.10.1915. Wounded in action during operations 6-8th 1916. Died of wounds in Mesopotamia 11.3.1917, aged 19. He is commemorated on Basra Memorial, Iraq.
