Enlisted 26.11.1931 in the Regular Army Leicestershire Regiment for 7 years service and 5 in reserve. Promoted Lance Corporal 29.3.1939. Awarded the M.M. while serving as a Corporal on the North West Frontier. Served in World War Two as Sergeant, was taken prisoner of war following the Malaya campaign 1941-1942. Transferred to South Staffordshire Regiment 27.4.1946. Re-transferred to Leicestershire Regiment 4.11.1946. Listed in the shadow promotion roll in the Green Tiger of May 1951 as Is listed as W.O. II with 5th Battalion in 1956. Awarded the Long Service and Good Conduct Medal. Ex- W.O. 2 Vincent died 24.7.1974. On the photograph he is sixth left, back row.
