Biography :
Enlisted at Leicester. Promoted to Corporal on 30.8.1912 and was serving with 1st Battalion in 1913. Served with 2nd Bn during World War One. Posted to 'A' Company 7.10.1915. Wounded in action in Mesopotamia 13.1.1916. Died of wounds in 19.1.1916, aged 23. He is buried at Amara War Cemetery, Iraq.
