Biography :

Home address given as Leicestershire. Educated at the RMC Sandhurst, Graham Taylor was commissioned into The Leicestershire Regiment on 27.1.1938. He was awarded the M.C. as a Platoon Commander whilst serving in 2nd Bn in Palestine in 1939 (L.G. 22.12.1939). Promoted Temp captain on 15.1.1941. He was serving in 50 ME Commando at the time of his death in Greece on 1.6.1941, aged 23. It is not known if he was Killed in Action or died while a POW. He is commemorated on the Athens Memorial, Greece.

Son of Colonel H W Taylor, OBE of the Regiment; nephew of Lt C M Taylor of the Regiment.
