Harold Sprigg enlisted at Leicester. Served with 1/5th Bn The Leicestershire Regiment in World War One, entering France on 4.5.1915. Died of wounds at a casualty clearing station at Tincourt near Péronne in France on 10.10.1918, aged 25. He is buried at Tincourt New British Cemetery, France.
