George ('Speedy') Seagrave enlisted on 29.12.1932 in the Regular Army Leicestershire Regiment for 7 years service with the Colours and 5 in the Reserve. Released Class 'A' on 24.11.1945. Re-enlisted on 27.12.1946. Was serving as Sergeant with 1st Bn in 1951 and as C.S.M. C Coy 1st Bn in Cyprus in 1956.
