Biography :
Enlisted at Swansea, Glamorgan. Served with the 110th Brigade (6th, 7th, 8th, 9th Battalions) during World War One. Awarded the Military Medal for his gallant conduct at Bazentin-le-Petit in July 1916 (see London Gazette 21.09.1916 page 9203). in action 5.7.1917, aged 25. He is buried at Metz-En-Couture Communal Cemetery British Extension, France.
