Biography :

Enlisted at Aylesbury, Buckinghamshire. Served with the 8th Bn during World War One. Killed in action France and Flanders campaign 11.4.1917. He is buried at St. Leger British Cemetery, France. Formerly 7712 Bedfordshire Regiment.

Further Info: Picture - Pte 33129 George Charles Price seen here in a uniform of a pre Great war volunteer unit. George had worked as an tram conductor and attested into the Army reserve aged thirty on the 11.11.1915 joining the Bedfordshire Regiment. He was then transferred to the Leicester's on the 19.10.1916 and landed in France on the 3.11.1916. Four days later he joined the 8th (Service) Battalion of the Regiment, George was serving his country in trenches in the Moyenneville area of France on the 11.4.1917 when he was killed and he is buried at the St.Leger Cemetery.

His name is recorded on the war memorials at Aston Clinton and in Aylesbury town centre.
