Biography :

Home address given as Shirebrook, Derbyshire. Served with 7th Bn The Leicestershire Regiment during World War One, entering France on 29.7.1915 . Awarded the Military Medal (L.G. 6.1.1917, page 347) and Bar (L.G. 6.8.1918, page 9230). He later served with the Machine Gun Corps with the number 157208. His Military Medal, British War Medal and Victory Medal are in the collection of Leicester City Museums Service.
He died in 1972, aged 77 years.
