Biography :
Arthur (aka Arthur John) Maltby enlisted 4.3.1902 at Leicester and served with the 1st Bn in Great Britain and Ireland. For WW1 he entered France 9.9.1914 and served until 28.4.1916 when discharged as medically unfit. Promoted Sergeant 9.7.1910. Served as R.Q.M.S. of the 1st Bn in France during World War One. Died at Skegness, 28.5.1939, aged 56. On the photograph he is sitting far front row.
