Enlisted at Hinckley. Served with the 11th Bn during World War One. Died of wounds in France and Flanders campaign 28.8.1917, aged 21. He is buried at Lijssenthoek Military Cemetery, Poperinge, West-Vlaanderen, Belgium.

Further information: Believed to be the brother of Charles List on this site. Born in Hinckley in 1897 and was a Warehouseman in a hosiery factory before signing up to the war.
