Home address given as Stamford, Lincolnshire. Enlisted at Oakham, Rutland. Served with the 9th Bn during World War One. Killed in action France and Flanders campaign 25.9.1916. He is commemorated on Thiepval Memorial, Somme, France.

Further info: Born in Carrickfergus on 31 August 1891 the son of Robert and Hannah Killips and brother of Cecil. Prior to joining up he was working as railway booking clerk. Enlisted into the 9th Bn and was posted to France on 11 November 1915. Killed in action at the Somme 25 September 1916 aged 25, His brother Cecil was also killed in action
