Home address given as South West London. He was serving in the Duke of Cornwall's Light Infantry as of 1.9.1939. As Lance Sergeant he was awarded the M.M. (see L.G. 8.3.1945, p.1301) for his actions as a Section Commander 2/5th, Leicesters in Marrechia, Italy, 22/23.9.1944. He was later awarded a Mention in Dispatches (see L.G. 19.7.1945, p. 3731). He died during the Balkans and Greece campaign on 8.12.1944, 24. He is buried at the Phaleron War Cemetery, near Athens, Greece.
