Home address given as Ashby-de-la-Zouch, Leicestershire. Enlisted at Coalville, Leicestershire. Served with the 7th Bn during World War One. Killed in action France and Flanders campaign 3.8.1918, aged 19. Formerly 316203 R.A.S.C. He is buried at Communal Cemetery Extension, Somme, France.
Further Info: Private 41752 Jarvis. Wilfred Arthur was born around 1899 and was in the employ of the Midland Railway Co. before he enlisted into the Army, originally with the Army Service Corps and then on 20.12.1917 he was transferred to the Bedfordshire Regiment. On arrival in France on 31.3.1918 he was very soon transferred to 8th Battalion Leicestershire Regiment and later to the 7th Battalion. He was killed in action on 3.8.1918 aged 19 years and is interred at Englebelmer Communal Cemetery Ext.
