This medal was instituted for award to personnel of all services, and thus did away with the need for separate Army and Navy general service medals. Awards range from a mere 70 for South Vietnam to over 130,000 for service in Northern Ireland.

Campaign	Minor campaigns and operations since 1962.
Clasps	Borneo, Radfan, South Arabia, Malay Peninsula, South Vietnam, Northern Ireland, Dhofar, Lebanon, Mine Clearance, Gulf of Suez, Gulf, Kuwait, N. Iraq & S. Turkey, Air Operations Iraq.
